President's Letter

It was a beautiful, early fall day on the afternoon of September 7th in Ithaca. The Arts Quad was the setting for the inauguration of David J. Skorton as Cornell's 12th President. It was a priviledge to pass drug test be one of the hundreds of guest, dignitaries, members of the Cornell community and students that joined in the celebration of the day. Sitting besides the stage were the four former presidents of Cornell. We were all witnesses to the past, present and future of Cornell.

In his speech, David Skorton set the tone for the future of the university and asked all of us associated with Cornell to help meet the challenges that Cornell faces in the years to come. His inauguration ended with a celebration for the entire community that included dance and musical performances. You can read the text of his speech and more on the events of that day at.

I hope to see you at an upcoming event!
